Panel Statements:
Whimsical without being cloying, sad but never maudlin, Isabel Coixet's screenplay and Sarah Polley's performance force us into empathy with someone who's not always that sympathetic.
— Lee Anne Gillan
Ann (Sarah Polley) made me cry and I still mourn for her. I fell in love with her and her family, especially the little girls. Deborah Harry and Scott Speedman delivered performances so engaging I was drawn in immediately. I was right there inside Ann's crowded trailer helping her write her list and hoping for a happy outcome because she was so young and strong. Isabel Coixet's direction is confident and complete.
— Sandy Wilson
A career performance from Sarah Polley. Her Ann seems to possess, in the same moment, an innocence and an infinite knowledge.
— David Spaner
