TIFF COVID-19 Protocols

TIFF Covid-19 Protocols

Updated as of January 4, 2022

In response to recent trends that show an alarming increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations, the Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, is temporarily moving the province back to stage 2 of pandemic protocols.

TIFF will therefore close TIFF Bell Lightbox cinemas after the evening screenings on January 4 through until January 26. We will reopen based on trends in public health and health systems.

All tickets purchased for screenings taking place during this time will be fully refunded. TIFF has been adding more films to the digital TIFF Bell Lightbox platform, and will continue to offer new options to audiences. Please check out digital.tiff.net for TIFF’s offerings and the FAQ here.

The health and safety of our staff, visitors and volunteers is our top priority and we will follow public health guidelines and recommendations to help make your time at TIFF Bell Lightbox as safe as possible.

We are, of course, disappointed that we have had to pause bringing some light and inspiration to audiences for a while, and we look forward to sharing the big screen experience of community and film with you again soon.
